Navigate in total darkness. Find the exit. But there's a catch.
UMBRA is a minimal maze game built around a single, ruthless rule: your finger reveals a small circle of light wherever it rests, but the moment you lift it to scout somewhere new, your entire path disappears and you start over from the beginning.
The maze isn't the puzzle. Your memory is.
HOW IT WORKS
Place your finger on the glowing start point and drag. Your trail grows behind you, cell by cell, glowing through the dark. That trail is your progress — and your only way back.
Lift your finger to pause. Your trail holds exactly where you left it.
Tap somewhere else to scout. The darkness follows your finger wherever you look. Explore freely but the moment you do, your trail is gone. You start again from the beginning, carrying nothing but what you remember.
THE TENSION
Every run is a negotiation between commitment and curiosity. You can see only what you touch. You can explore freely but every scout wipes your progress. The further you get, the more you have to lose. The exit is always out there in the dark. You just have to remember where it is.
