About this app

Here, there is nothing forbidden (haram).

Mouqa is the Islamic dating app where marriage is prepared according to Islamic teachings. No isolation, no private photos, no conversations without witnesses. Just the path to zawaj, within the bounds of what is permissible.

NO ISOLATION, A THIRD PARTY READS EVERY MESSAGE
• A man and a woman who are strangers should not be alone together. Therefore, with us, no message arrives without being reviewed. Men's messages are reviewed by men, women's by women.

• No photos, no phone numbers, no Instagram. Nothing leaves Mouqa.

THE WALI, AS HE SHOULD BE
• The woman adds her wali with a simple code. He follows her conversations, approves the meetings, and can join the video call.

THE RIGHT GAZE
• Gazing is only permitted with the firm intention of marriage. The video call begins after four days of exchanges, moderated by a male and female moderator. The wali (godfather) can also connect.

• The in-person meeting takes place after 10 days, with a mahram (male guardian) present from beginning to end.

RELIGION FIRST
• Prayer, hijab, beard, school attendance, hijra plans. What matters is evident from the profile.

• If you are looking for a hijab-wearing sister, you will not see any profiles of unveiled women. Your religious criteria take precedence.

• A 40-question multiple-choice quiz on the Quran and Sunnah. Each person's level of understanding is visible before matching.

SINS REMAIN HIDDEN
• In Islam, one does not reveal one's sins. Your sensitive answers (shisha, music, usury, etc.) are used for filtering and are never displayed on your profile.

• At the beginning of the match, each person submits their deal-breakers. The chat only opens once both have sworn before Allah.

MARRIAGE IS LEARNED
• Lessons from Fiqh An-Nikah by Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, in 4 modules: introduction, before, during, and after marriage. A badge on your profile upon completion.

• 159 ready-to-ask questions on religion, married life, and life plans.

RELIGIOUSLY VALIDATED
• Each feature has been reviewed and validated by Samy Philippe Chaouche, a student of religious studies.

• Identity verification, with a visible badge on your profile.

• No hidden profiles to pressure you into paying. No shadowbanning.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Choose the one who is religious, and you will be successful.” (Al-Bukhari 5090, Muslim 1466)

Here, we're not trying to keep you on the app for years. We want you to leave it married.

Download Mouqa and do things the right way, within the bounds of what is lawful.
