wifi.italia.it is the App that connects you to the hotspots of all the free Italian WiFi networks that adhere to the national project promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development.
Download the App, register or log in via SPID and you can automatically connect to the hotspot of each federated network that broadcasts the "wifi.italia.it" WiFI.
Search on the map for hotspots and networks that have been federated and integrated to date and see if there is any near you!

As a tourist I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Italian wifi services. This app requires you to get SMS verification, but guess what tourists wont have access to their SMS!!! The app was supposed to bridge this gap but...it also demands phone verification.

The app just doesn't work.... it continuosly freezes and even if you wait it just doesn't come back 'alive'.... it seems like just a waste of time....

It doesn't work, not even with the verification code via sms. I constantly get the message something went wrong, when typing the proper code. Useless app, I took it off again.
