mp3DirectCut provides a clear user interface with one single view and smartest audio navigation: Swipe easily through even long tracks. Set, change and trim selections. Prelisten as cut or loop. Supports MP3, AAC and on many devices also MP2. Very small app size, ad-free, needs only storage permission.

PLEASE READ: The app does not open tracks from the media database. It opens only real file paths from a folder structure.

Ratings and reviews

Extremely easy to use, and no ads to speak of. There's a little Help and FAQ tab that explains what the button prompts do, and has a simple but very clean and effective UI and audio visualization to trim exactly what parts of your audio track you need trimmed. This is everything i needed out of the app; straight forward and to the point utility that's easy to understand.

I've used the Windows version a lot in the past and was happy that it's been ported to Android. Initially had problems loading files but after reading the built in help decided to go the long way through my file manager (Internal storage > Downloads) instead of the handy audio shortcuts. It works fine that way.

Great, super, SUPER useful program... EXCEPT absolutely non intuitive design. Who assigns the freaken DELETE key to mark cue points? Extremely frustrating and difficult to use unless you basically study the cryptic, poorly written manual for the bizarre workflow choices and "short cuts". Still massively recommended but expect a huge learning curve to use this efficiently. Hence the middling score
