About this app

You already know what you should be doing. That was never the problem.

The problem is that you are both the person who sets the rule and the person who breaks it. Any blocker with a "disable" button gets disabled eventually, by you, at the exact moment you least want it to.

Mr. ToDo takes you out of that decision.

HOW IT WORKS

Pick the apps that eat your day. Any app on your phone, not a fixed list.
Write a task and switch on Focus Lock.
Hit Start. Those apps are now walled off.
Open one anyway and you hit a speed bump: a full screen block, and a voice with opinions about your choices.
The lock lifts when the task is marked done, and only your friend's PIN can mark it done.

THE FRIEND IS THE POINT

During setup a friend sets a PIN you never see. It is required to complete a locked task, end a lock early, or change your blocked list during a session. You cannot talk yourself past it, because you do not know it.

Friend not nearby? Switch to authenticator mode. They scan a QR code into any authenticator app on their own phone and read you a fresh six digit code whenever you have genuinely finished. Works from anywhere. No accounts, no internet required.

NO QUIET EXITS

Detection runs continuously. Closing and reopening an app does not help.
The lock survives a restart.
Turning off permissions during a lock ends the session as incomplete, and your friend can see that it happened.
"Forgot the PIN" recovery exists, but it takes 48 hours, and winding your phone's clock forward will not shorten it.

ALSO IN THE APP

Tasks grouped by day, with optional times
Add a whole list at once, one task per line ("gym 6pm", "write report 14:30")
Stats: total focus time, day streak, sessions completed, bypass attempts
Light and dark themes

YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE

No account. No signup. No analytics. No ads. No servers. Your tasks, your app list and your friend's PIN stay on your device. We could not see them if we wanted to. Uninstalling deletes everything.

PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY

Usage access: to see which app is in the foreground, so the right ones get blocked. No browsing history is stored or sent anywhere.
Display over other apps: to show the block screen on top of a blocked app.
Query installed apps: to show you a list to choose from. Only the apps you select are saved.
Battery optimisation (optional): so Android does not quietly kill the blocker in the background.

Honest about the limits: this is friction, not a prison. Someone determined can still uninstall the app. What it removes is the easy, thoughtless exit, which is the one you actually take.

Free. No ads. No subscription.

In-app permission disclosure screens (match these word for word against the declaration form)

Usage Access

Mr. ToDo needs Usage Access to see which app is currently open on your screen. This is how it knows when to show a block screen. Mr. ToDo does not record, store, or send your browsing or app history anywhere. This data never leaves your device.

Display over other apps

Mr. ToDo needs permission to display over other apps so it can show the full screen block when you open something on your blocked list. This is only used while a Focus Lock is active.

Query installed apps

Mr. ToDo needs to see your list of installed apps so you can choose which ones to block. Only the apps you actually select are saved. Mr. ToDo does not send your app list anywhere.

Battery optimisation (optional)

If Android puts Mr. ToDo to sleep in the background, it may stop detecting blocked apps. Turning this off keeps the blocker running reliably. This is optional and you can decline it.
Your apps stay locked until the task is done. Only your friend has the key
