I don't write reviews often but this impressed me. While sitting at a high school game I installed Google Google's and tried it on four items - my shoe, my keys. My tile key finder, and my over the ear buds. Goggles failed on all four. This app however, very quickly identified all of them correctly and brought up a site for each. It didn't get the Tile brand right, but did know it was a key chain. It did not get the exact ear buds but that's pretty tricky when there are no visible brand markers. But it brought up my exact shoes if I wanted to buy them again. That was very effective and useful.
Very basic It takes a picture and gives you the most basic description that you can give yourself. I scanned a black lg phone and it said, "black android phone." Scanned my black, flat-screen computer and it said, "black, flat-screen computer." I'll give it to it for knowing it was a flat-screen and a computer (even though I already knew it) but it doesn't give extra info. Might be more useful for bug determination (if it can do that).
I am not impressed. Some results are good. But sometimes it identifies an item in the background or at the edge of the photo instead of the item I'm trying to identify. This seems to be driven by advertising opportunities rather than what's in the center of the photo. It did correctly identify a cantaloupe in the store, but it could identify a houseplant only as "green and yellow plant" rather than the kind of plant. Not helpful.
Theory of app is great I just downloaded as the theory of this app is pretty awesome, but never fails, right after I take a photo and it starts searching the app closes and encounters an error. I have a Galaxy S7 all apps and the platform are up-to-date. Doesn't work. Would love to give 5 stars
Shame on you. Takes photo then instead of reading item outloud 50% of time goes straight to sales page of item and easy peasy low vision man makes purchase on amazon with just touching. Boo hiss. Bad
Well, I took a pic of my wall mounted thermostat and it delivered me a floor tile company. So I tried taking a pic of a flower and it gave me another company of a garden store, this is junk. I will throw this app in the trash and find one that gives more details and info
