About this app

MSSlynx sets a new standard for Push-to-Talk (PTT) communications in functionality, value, and ease of use. This an application that implements Viasat PTT, Text, and Position Location Information (PLI) over Cell, WiFi, and Viasat MSS links and is the only optimized voice application for use with ViaSat MSS satellite links and network. This application can communicate with the MSSgateway PTT application over any of the supported links. Some of the differentiating capabilities include:

* Operation over the Viasat MSS L-band network covering over 150+ countries
* Integrated AES-256 encryption over satellite MSS link
* TLS/SSL over terrestrial links (Cell, WiFi) and over non-MSS satellite links
* Talk groups that span entire service footprint without requirement for regional zone limitations
* Continuous scanning of all talk groups simultaneously that you are a member of
* Configurable recording of all received and transmitted voice and text messages for review at any time
* Full duplex communications that allow transmission on one talk group while receiving and storing message on other talk groups
* Selective muting of any talk group to reduce audio chatter while continuing to record all messages for future retrieval
* High quality voice recording and playback
* Android based platform that run other tracking and workforce management applications

What’s new

- Implemented secure PLI Communication via TLS MQTT Port 8883 ONLY, no port 1883 support any longer
- Implemented PLI Settings including minimum PLI updates regardless of device motion with 5 minute default updates

- Fixed Mute Talkgroup capability and added Help info for it
- Synced up color coding of phonebook view entries with the map view dots
- Local user is now always at the top of phonebook view
