It was started by four young entrepreneurs whose passion for chemistry drove them to start two crop protection companies in Israel: Agan Chemical World in 1945 and Maktechim Agan in 1952. Both companies played a key role in shaping the foundations of Israel’s innovative agrochemical industry. The merger of the two companies to form Maktechim Agan in 1997 served as the impetus for international expansion, culminating in 2014 as a global brand called ADAMA. Today, ADAMA is a member of the Syngenta Group, the largest agricultural data company in the world.
Adama is a manufacturer and distributor of plant protection products from Israel.
