I understood when I first subscribed to Mubi Go that there might be times when the movie of the week would not be available in my location. I figured it was still a great deal, even if I could only see a couple movies per month. However, it has now been 4 weeks since the movie of the week has been available in Denver. I'm sad, because when it worked, it was great. The app worked well and I looked forward to seeing what movie Mubi selected for me each week. But no movies at all is unacceptable.

When it works, Mubi go is amazing. My only problem with it was the film of the week wasn't always showing anywhere near me (I live in Reading so not the middle of nowhere!) and instead it just repeats a film from a previous week which is annoying if you try and go every week like I did. In an ideal world the replacement film would be something that's not been shown previously so that all users get an equally good service. I would recommend this subscription only if you live in a major city.

I really want to like this service but: price has basically doubled in a couple years / lots of movies are in German (I'm ok with that, but they often don't put English subtitles for those, so I can't really watch them) / the fact that I need to be at the cinema to buy the ticket is the real deal breaker, it's fine if you go by yourself, but if you're trying to get a seat next to a friend who booked a seat it's borderline impossible to pull off.
