Malachi Krige ran ten million simulations of Earth's future. In every single one,
the planet burns — never because of the asteroid or the war, but because of the
four seconds a hero spends deciding.
So he built armour that does not block energy. It drinks it.
VERDIGRIS.
FOUR HEROES, ONE ARMOUR, NO SAFE ANSWER
Throw thunder at his face and he will not raise a shield. He raises two fingers,
catches the bolt out of the air, closes his hand on it, and throws it back.
The Verdigris lattice attunes itself to one damage type at a time — storm, gamma,
kinetic or phase. Hit him with the one he is tuned to and he absorbs it, heals,
and your combo dies. Hit him with anything else and it lands, and it builds
strain. Enough strain in a row cracks the lattice wide open, and everything you
land in that window is a critical.
Then he re-tunes to whatever has been hurting him most. So the answer is never
one hero. It is the rotation.
- STORMCROWN — thunder, chain lightning, and the slowest, heaviest swing in the
game
- MAUL — gamma, seismic shockwaves, and 145 HP that hits harder the lower it gets
- BULWARK — kinetic, a ricocheting shield, and a timed parry that is not a block
- FLUX — phase, the fastest thing in the arena, and the only one who can shut the
lattice down entirely
Cooldowns tick while a hero is benched, so tagging out is never a punishment.
It is the entire game.
A DIFFERENT FIGHT EVERY DAY
DAILY DOOMSDAY is one 90-second fight, on half health, with your ultimate banned
and two random rules in force — a bigger crack window, a boss who re-tunes twice
as fast, a run where every hit you take is doubled. It is generated from the
calendar date, so every player on Earth gets the exact same fight, and everybody
finds out together whether today's combination is survivable.
Come back tomorrow and it is a new one. Miss a day and your streak resets.
TOP TEN, AND YOUR EXACT RANK
One number per run: the DOOMSDAY SCORE. Damage dealt, longest combo, perfect
dodges, parries, hero swaps, lattice breaks and a time bonus, minus everything
you let through. The results screen itemises every line, because seeing why you
scored what you scored is what teaches you to score more.
TODAY's board wipes at midnight — so on any given day the top ten is genuinely
winnable. The ALL TIME board is the permanent record. Either way you are shown
your own exact rank, even when you are nowhere near the top.
NO SIGN-UP. NONE.
No email. No password. No Google login. No Facebook. The game asks for a call
sign on first launch and that is the entire onboarding — you are on the
leaderboard eight seconds after the install finishes.
ENDLESS GAUNTLET
Five story chapters, each opening and closing on a cinematic. Then the gauntlet:
endless waves, all four heroes, health and damage climbing every round, an Elite
every fifth wave and a new variant every tenth. This is the mode the leaderboard
is built on.
BUILT DIFFERENTLY
No game engine. The entire 3D renderer is written from scratch — every triangle
projected, sorted and shaded in code — which is why the download is a fraction of
the size of anything that looks like it. Every sound in the game is synthesised
rather than recorded. There are no downloaded model files, so there is no
"preparing assets" screen and no second download after install.
Runs offline. Only the leaderboard needs a connection, and the game tells you
plainly when it cannot reach it instead of pretending.
FAIR ABOUT ADS
Five of the six ad placements only ever appear because you tapped a button asking
for one — revive your squad, double your score, boost a run, unlock a skin. There
is no ad after every death, no energy meter, no timer counting down until you are
allowed to play, and nothing in the game can be bought with real money.
No coins. No gems. No shards. One score, some skins, and a rank.
Original characters, original story. Familiar archetypes, nobody else's heroes.
He eats your lightning. Rotate four heroes, crack his armour, and claim victory
