Back in 1891 with his banquet near the Cathedral of Bisceglie, grandfather Nunzio Ramelli was a street vendor not only of shoes, but also of sacred images and statuettes. Other times! Therefore, to identify it, the Biscegliesi used to say "sceim ad accattò r' scarp da cur che venn l' Send e r Madunn" which translated into Italian means "let's go buy shoes from the one who sells the Saints and the Madonnas".
Grandfather Nunzio's journey continued with his son Domenico, known to all as Mimì Santamadonna, creator of the first real evolution of his work with the birth of the historic boutique SANTAMADONNA 1891 in Bisceglie in via Ottavio Tupputi.
For 40 years I have been continuing that journey together with Licia, my precious work and life partner, and my daughters Giogi and Peppa.
