ViviTap is an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app that helps people with communication disabilities express themselves and stay connected with the people who support them.
ViviTap was created by someone with direct, personal experience of this reality: the app is named after the developer's own sister, who has a communication disability. It's built by someone in close daily contact with people with disabilities, not designed from the outside looking in.
ViviTap works with two connected roles:
- Helpee: the person who communicates, using simple tap-to-speak buttons
- Helper: a caregiver, family member, or support person who receives messages and can answer back.
HOW IT WORKS
The helpee taps a communication button (pre-defined or custom), and the message is spoken aloud and sent as a notification to their connected helper. It's a simple, reliable way to express needs, feelings, and everyday requests without typing.
