About this app

The new App takes you inside the Museum on a unique tour, where the secret of the Cenacle is revealed through a careful narrative that focuses on the historical and artistic aspects and the conservative peculiarities of the work, helping the visitor to understand the meaning of the choices made by Leonardo both from a technical and compositional point of view. Inside the Refettorio, the visit is enriched by innovative experiences in augmented reality. The Al Cenacolo Vinciano route is automatically unlocked when, having purchased the ticket and activated Bluetooth, you will find yourself inside the Museum or in the Ticket Office area.
The Stories section, on the other hand, is dedicated to insights that help to contextualise the work from a historical-artistic point of view thanks to text cards accompanied by an accurate iconographic apparatus that includes 360 ° videos and images.
A specific path is dedicated to families with children, with two videos presenting the work and four interactive games.
Finally, in order to broaden the knowledge of Leonardo's work and the vastness of his imprint on Lombardy in general and on the city of Milan in particular, Leonardo's itineraries have been prepared: through a map it will be possible to locate the places where Leonardo has worked or where his works are kept and display essential information.

The new app of the Cenacolo Vinciano is designed for everyone: in eight languages, with inclusive and completely usable visits thanks to audio tracks and full transcriptions. Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with the National Association of Subvents (ANS) in the framework of the DescriVedendo project, we have created an audio description of the Last Supper that makes the masterpiece of Leonardo available to people with reduced or no visual capacity. Inside the Refectory there is a beacon that will allow you to listen to the audio description of the Last Supper: activate bluetooth when you are in the Museum.

In the open-content culture supported by the Museum Complex we have made all this accessible for free. We have chosen to allow you to unlock the contents of the Cenacolo Visit route only from within the Museum, so that you can discover them in the context where they have the most meaning, and benefit from the complete experience we have designed for you.
