About this app

When a text is highlighted, click on the options menu of copy - paste bar as in the screenshot pictures and select the Highlight & Note app to create a new note of the selected text or to add the selected text to a previous note.

Creating a new note with the selected text:
For example, select a part of an article you read on a browser. Click on options button of copy - paste bar. Then click on Highlight & Note. The app will be opened. When the app is opened, click on New in order to create a new note of the selected text. The app automatically brings the selected text. You can edit the note at this point if you want to.
When the back button is pressed, the note is saved, the app ends itself and user turns to previous screen automatically . This configuration provides fast changeover between the article user read and the app. You can read, edit and delete the saved notes by opening the app.

Adding the selected note to a previous note:
The selected note can added to a previously saved note using a similar method. In order to do this, select the text and select the app to open it in the same way, then click on one of the previously saved notes instead of clicking on New. Then the app will add a line space under the old note and add the selected text. Again when the back button is pressed, the note is saved, the app ends itself and user turns to previous screen automatically.

Deleting a note and creating a new note manually:
You can delete the note by clicking Delete button in the options menu on top right - hand corner.
When you start the app from the app list of your phone you can create a new note by clicking New button in the options menu on top right - hand corner.
It's saved after writing a new note or editing a previous note via pressing back button.

Creating a note with the selected text via share button:
If you want to create a note of a text in some different apps like notepad apps, sometimes the name of the app may not show up in copy - paste menu bar. At this point, you can also use share button. After selecting text and pressing share button, select the Highlight & Note app. And the rest is the same.

I really like this app, simple and clean UI, it would be good if there were some more features though - like searching through notes and exporting notes? Giving it five stars because it has been a great help in taking notes from random snippets on the Internet, but some updates would be great!

Near useless. Highlighting any text does not save the highlighted text, instead the Android text select menu appears.

Hi. When you highlight a text there should be three dots button on copy, paste, etc. buttons' right. The app's name should be in there as in the screenshot pictures. Click on the app name there then you should be able to create note from your highlighted text. You can also try share button when you highlight a text and then select the app.
