Open a video with no subtitles and just watch. Your phone listens to the dialogue and makes the subtitles.

MAKE SUBTITLES FOR VIDEOS THAT HAVE NONE
Understands speech in about 100 languages. Finished parts show subtitles right away, and it keeps going while you use other apps.
TRANSLATE INTO YOUR LANGUAGE
Translates into about 60 languages. Show the original and the translation together, or just one. Pick the same language on both sides for original-language subtitles.
FIX SUBTITLES ON THE VIDEO
Tap Edit beside the Original and Translation switches under the video. The video pauses and the subtitles on screen turn into text you can change. Delete a wrong line, or type a new one where there is none.
LIVE SUBTITLES OVER OTHER APPS
Turn on live subtitles and what another app is saying appears as subtitles on top of it, translated into your language. Live subtitles understand Japanese, English, Korean and Chinese.

Speech recognition and translation run on your phone. Your videos and dialogue are not sent to a server. Download a language once and make subtitles even in airplane mode. You see the download size before it starts.

• Speed, screen lock, picture-in-picture
• Subtitle size, position and timing
• A subtitle file with the same name next to a video opens with it, and finished subtitles are saved next to the video too (Download, Movies and similar folders)
• Open SRT and VTT files; export SRT
• Trim the start or end of a video without losing quality

Browse your phone's videos by date or by album and search them by name. Long-press to select several, then rename, move, share or delete them. Make it your default player and videos from other apps open here too.
The app's screens come in more than 60 languages and follow your phone's language.
The first subtitles take a little time. Speed and accuracy depend on your phone, the language and the recording. Live subtitles translate sound as it plays, so they are less accurate than subtitles made for a saved video. Fast translation shows Google translation attribution. Please use it on videos you have the right to subtitle.
The screenshots show subtitles the app made from sample videos. The scenes in the samples are AI-generated pictures, and the speech comes from the FLEURS dataset.

What’s new
