Never before have I seen a more egregiously pay-to-win game than this game, and for gameplay that does not deserve it in the slightest. Everywhere you look, it wants to you to buy something, not even to get ahead in the game, but just to keep up, otherwise, you will fall behind other plays. And, even if you do make a purchase, like I so foolishly did — bought the ad-free pack— the game does not care and forces you to have to buy it again if you create a new character on the same account!

Advertisements lie heavily about gameplay experience. It's an idle game, but you need to leave it open for it to idle. Plenty of things to click, but the ads will mostly be for games you already have and you don't always get rewards for watching them. Beware the Diablo Immortal ads, they will always try to automatically open the game if you have it already, or play store if not.

Update: I do thoroughly enjoy the community and it's a great time killer, but after 7 months of gameplay I'm left with the feeling of owning a cheap, plastic, overpriced toy. Also, the player turnover rate is mind-blowingly high. I'm a spender, but not a big spender, and I have spent to build my character only to have many aspects nerf'd time and time again.
