Flow Alert provides quick access to flow , stage, temperature, and turbidity data made available by the United States Geologic Survey (USGS) via USGS Water Services https://waterservices.usgs.gov/.

Download USGS gauges and add favorites to a separate list. Create nicknames for your favorite gauges.

Add a widget on your home screen that shows your selected parameter for your favorite gauges. Currently, widgets update automatically approximately every 15 minutes.

Add alerts to notify yourself when your gauge meets your defined criteria. Multiple alerts may be set for each favorite gauge. Manage your alerts for all gauges in one screen.

Select a gauge from the list to see an interactive graph of the past 7 days of available data.

Really nice. I use it to monitor local sites for kayaking conditions. I see you're working on increasing viewable history, which will be nice, so I can compare flood to base levels. It would also be cool if we could see where flood stages are, or be able to add that to the axis ourselves. For example, major flooding on Waccamaw near Conway is stage 14'+. Moderate is 12–14' and so on. It would be cool if I could add that to my faves' y-axes. Great app, thank you!

Good app! As the NCOIC of a state Swift Water Rescue Team I use this app to keep track of the river gauges where we train and during flood conditions for response. I would like to see an update where the widget shows both the flow and stage at the same time. Also, it would be great to see the USGS water temperature data, where they have it, as well. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Somewhat easy to use. Would like to see flow from more than several days ago, before a particularly rainy time began. It can also be a bit convoluted to go back to the start to check other rivers, when today isn't so appealing a time to fish. But all in all, I don't even think about leaving home without checking this (and my weather app) first.
