Scam Alert’s reporting mechanism empowers victims to take back power from their perpetrators anonymously with a few simple keystrokes. You may list perpetrators by name/company and include as many images, address information, contact information, alias information, associates’ name information, and other characteristics as you see fit. For the general public, Scam Alert is a powerful tool for checking the background of a person/company. Scam Alert’s search mechanism checks its index to find matches with actual victims anonymously reporting perpetrators. For example, if you cannot find a match by name, you can try a phone number, an email address, or a mailing address. In addition to information, scam alert lists the number of victims the perpetrator has affected that have reported previously with Scam Alert. You can read the victims’ stories to see if there are similarities to your circumstance or a trend. Victims can add images if they desire so you may actually see the person and not just a name. It is the perfect tool for the general public to protect itself and reduce fraud from occurring by empowering people with information about known perpetrators.
