My name is Avroom Arshinov, for about 15 years I have been the head of the funeral service of the Jewish community of St. Petersburg and now I am the head of the Cultural and Ritual Center “aGuter Beter”.

I understand very well how important it is for burial sites to be in decent condition, as well as to be convenient to get to.

I know how to establish a system for maintaining Jewish cemeteries in a well-groomed condition, and I am proud that the community entrusted me with such a mission. Thanks to my experience, I understand how to solve this important task and will make every effort to implement it.

The Jewish cemetery in St. Petersburg should look dignified and well maintained, as well as be protected. And this is precisely the evidence that we honor and respect the memory of the departed. The type of Jewish burials is an indicator of how we relate to our history.
