My Fishing Mate Pro is the essential app for recreational fishing, anywhere in Australia. It has all of the size, bag, and boat limits, open and closed seasons, and any other applicable rules for each species of fish and invertebrate, both freshwater and saltwater. With listings and images for over 650 species, you can be sure to identify that fish you have just caught! There is also detailed additional information for many species including size range, description, distribution, habitat, life cycle, diet, sport and eating qualities, and most importantly - fishing tips and rigs! Every state is included - NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS and NT. Every species that has any fishing regulations is here, (nearly) all with photos, so you can be confident that you are fishing within the state's laws. You can directly search for a fish from the scroll list, or swipe from fish to fish to quickly find what you've just caught. The app is designed with a crisp and clean interface to maximise screen real estate so that you can read it easily in outdoor conditions, and all of the info is available even in offline mode, so you can use it anywhere where the fish are! I like the app but it's well overdue for an update. Example. Spanish mackerel in Queensland have a 1 pp bag limit now. The app still says 3. Will happily change to a 5 star with an update

This apps help me to educate myself about fishing. Taking fish according to bag limit for endangered species and i feel i can save nature by following the rules. Even not in Australia. Thank you :) After being a long time since 2014 user of this apps. I'm really grateful to know how to handle each fish and learn to conserve each catch and only take best size and release juvenile and endangered species. Thanks for educated me and provide this apps.

Was the best fishing app out there but hasn't been updated in 3 years. Bag sizes change all the time and the app needs to keep up-to-date with them. A real shame because I really enjoyed using it.
