The three custom tours in French and English guide visitors through the 107 acres (43 hectares) and 97 divisions and features the final resting places of eighty-four cultural icons, including such luminaries as Frédéric Chopin, Isadora Duncan, Jim Morrison of The Doors, Gertrude Stein, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Marcel Proust, Eugene Delacroix, Richard Wright, Sadegh, Hedayat, and many more. The text provides brief descriptions of each creative spirit along with original photographs of the grave-sites, as well as general information, including hours, the history of the cemetery, background on the designs of the 19th-century funerary art and architecture, and suggested visitor etiquette. The GPS function of the app is activated when you arrive at the cemetery in Paris. You can even take a virtual tour from the comfort of your own home on your smartphone or tablet.
