Serial Xtractor records which devices were destroyed, one device at a time.
Most destruction records are written per load. A lorry arrives, a weight is recorded, a certificate is issued for the consignment. That satisfies the waste paperwork, and it does not answer the question a client's auditor actually asks: can you prove this particular drive was destroyed?
WHAT IT DOES
Point the camera at a drive label. Serial Xtractor reads the serial number from the printed text and from any barcode on the label. A barcode that exactly matches your asset list is confirmed automatically; anything else is shown to you to confirm or correct. Where the reading is uncertain, it says so and asks rather than guessing.
Every scan joins a session. A session carries the customer, the location, the destruction method and the equipment used, and closes into a certificate.
BUILT FOR THE FLOOR
- Works with an asset list. Load what the client says they sent, and the manifest shows matched, missing and unexpected as you go.
- Anything not on the list is recorded only after you confirm it.
- Every scan stays in the session manifest, where you can correct it before the certificate is issued.
- Captures the operator's signature on the device, embedded in the certificate.
- Certificates of Destruction and Certificates of Sanitisation, with the session type deciding which.
- The certificate says which serials you confirmed and which the app confirmed automatically.
- A certificate can be reissued. The original certificate is kept and marked as superseded.
WHO IT IS FOR
ITAD operators, data destruction providers, and IT teams decommissioning their own hardware — anyone who has to produce evidence about specific devices rather than about a shipment.
PRIVACY
The app photographs device labels to read their serial numbers. The photographs stay on your device; the serial numbers and session details are sent to our servers so certificates can be issued. Details at nabelsolutions.com/legal/privacy.
