About this app

Nabogo – your local carpooling app. Launched in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands 🇩🇰🇸🇪🇳🇴🇳🇱 5.000+ monthly active users.

The app is completely free and without fees for our users. This is made possible by our partnerships with the public sector.

Do you give rides every now and then?
- Use 'Drive now' to receive your carpool subsidy.
- Passengers simply scan your QR code when they get into the car. Remember to end your trip in the app when you reach your destination.
- Passengers ride for free and don't need the app!

Do you give regular rides?
- Create a 'Regular trip' to receive your carpool subsidy.
- Passengers find your ride and send you a ride request, which you need to approve.
- You have the option to charge passengers a fixed rate for trips above 10 km.

Nabogo’s story
In the 90s, the two childhood friends from Denmark, Anders and Kasper, hitchhiked their way to high school when their class schedule didn’t fit with the bus. Fast forward to 2018, where they founded nabogo to make it easy and advantageous to carpool to school, work and leisure activities.

The security design of the app leaves a lot to be desired.. It relies on text messages which can easily be circumvented

Thanks for your feedback. Security is always a concern to us, which is also why we upgraded from our previous password-based login to OTP-based. Most of our users used weak passwords when given the choice, and other more complex login methods discourage users from using the service. The service the app provides is good, but the app itself is severely lacking. The feel is like something that was made at a hackathon and then immediately declared production ready - with all the lack of QA and UX tests that implies. Some reported bugs for basic features has gone unfixed for more than half a year, and I have no hope they'll be fixed any time soon.

A lot of unintuitive choices in the user experience and interface design. Gave feedback, but nothing has been fixed or implemented in the last half year.

Hi Leonard Thanks for your review, for being a loyal user and for your feedback about time zones, zoom level and change of seat numbers. I understand it is frustrating we haven't implemented it yet. We're striving to address all user feedback while prioritizing demand. Over the last 6 months, we've averaged 9.5 user-requested changes per month.
