About this app

Use a password to encrypt sensitive data strings, such as the 12, 18, or 24-word Seed Phrase in a cryptocurrency wallet or data extracted from a QR code backup of Google Authenticator, etc.

The application employs robust encryption algorithms designed to withstand even the most powerful quantum computers today. The weakest point in the encryption process would still require the most advanced quantum computers millions of years to break.

Key Features:
- Load a QR image from a file.
- Scan a QR code using the camera.
- Manually enter the data string you want to protect.
- Once the data is entered, users can encrypt or decrypt it using a password.
- After processing, the encrypted data can be converted into a QR code image, named, and assigned a password hint. Users can utilize their Android device’s system key to take a screenshot and save the QR code.

(Password Hint: A phrase that helps you recall your password, but is obscure enough that others won’t be able to guess it.)

Passwords must be at least 16 characters long, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Users should carefully consider their password choice and password hint before encrypting to avoid forgetting it over time.

QR Quantum Shield does not collect or store any user information, including unencrypted data, encrypted data, or passwords. If a user forgets their password or loses the encrypted QR code, the app provides no way to recover the forgotten password or decrypt the data.

Once the encrypted QR image is generated, users can store it publicly on their phone, computer, the internet, or print it on paper as a backup—without worrying about others decrypting the information without the password.
