It supports both adult dogs and puppies. The Growth & Reproduction assessment for puppies checks 39 nutritional status items.

■ Suggestion of Ingredient Quantities for Homemade Dog Food
By selecting the ingredients you want to use, the app suggests the appropriate amount of ingredients to start making homemade food based on your dog's information and the combination of ingredients.

This tool can be used as a starting point for recipe creation, even when you want to use a particular ingredient but don't know how many grams of each ingredient to use.

■ Check for deficient/excessive nutrients and suggested improvements
You can check energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, as well as vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids, and essential fatty acids.

For deficient nutrients, it displays suggested ingredients that are easy to supplement, registered supplements, and suggested amounts to add. Even after adding ingredients, the entire recipe is re-evaluated, allowing you to adjust while checking the overall nutritional balance, not just individual nutrients.

If food component data is insufficient for accurate determination, the unknown value is not treated as 0 but distinguished as "insufficient evaluation data," and automatic addition amounts are not suggested for safety.

nanairo's nutritional assessment and SCORE are based on the publicly available standard values ​​for "Adult Maintenance" or "Growth & Reproduction" in the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles.

Nutritional information for food is based on sources such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Standard Tables of Food Composition in Japan (8th Revised Edition), Supplementary 2023."

Nutrients for which component data is insufficient for assessment will be excluded from the SCORE's sufficiency items and suggested automatic supplement amounts.

Nutrients for which AAFCO does not have a maximum value will only be treated as supplementary safety information if sufficient evidence-based quantitative safety information can be confirmed from sources such as NRC or FEDIAF. This information will not be reflected in the AAFCO SCORE or deficiency/excess assessment.
