This app lets users embark on a journey along the coasts of Calabria, discovering the ancient defensive system of coastal towers through the Carratelli Roman Codex.
The app allows for personalized access for different user types—experts, adults, and children—with sections that unlock depending on whether they are near the coastal towers or far away (From Home or On-Site modes).
The sections to navigate are:
Catalog: to read the factsheets dedicated to the towers described starting from the Carratelli Roman Codex
3D models: where the main towers of the ancient defensive system are reproduced to scale
Routes: you can check the location of all the towers drawn in the Codex (the pink dots indicate the towers that still exist, the blue dots indicate those never built) and, by clicking on the Itinerary button, find out how to get there.
Game sections: to build your own tower using different shapes.
If the user is on-site, they can unlock AR mode and see the ancient towers in their original shapes through augmented reality.
