Sri Narasimha, the half man and half lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu is revered as one of the famed incarnations of the Lord. Lord Krishna declares in the Bhagavad-gita that He incarnates to protect His devotees from the harassment of demons and to reestablish the principles of Dharma. Lord Narsimha appeared to save His dear devotee Prahlada by slaying his demoniac father Hiranyakashipu who tortured his son in an attempt to kill him.
Devotees pray to Lord Nrsimha to remove all the obstacles on their path of devotional service. There are more than a hundred prominent Narasingha temples with historical importance in India. Every year, devotees celebrate Narsingha Jayanti on the Chaturdashi of the bright fortnight in the month of Vaishakha. Lord Nrsingha is known primarily as the 'Great Protector' who specifically defends and protects his devotees in times of need. Always worship him. Perform aroti. Pray to Him. He will surely protect us from the miseries of this material world. These prayers are for protection from such things as malevolent spirits and material desires, as well as increased devotion and a peaceful world.
Prayers: Pray to the Supreme Protector. He will save us from all the calamities.

I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha who gives joy to Prahlada Maharaja and whose nails are like chisels on the stonelike chest of the demon Hiranyakasipu.

Lord Nrisimha is here and also there. Wherever I go Lord Nrisimha is there. He is in the heart and is outside as well. I surrender to Lord Nrisimha, the origin of all things and the supreme refuge.

O Kesava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari, who have assumed the form of half-man, half-lion! All glories to You! Just as one can easily crush a wasp between one’s fingernails, so in the same way the body of the wasplike demon Hiranyakasipu has been ripped apart by the wonderful pointed nails on Your beautiful lotus hands.

Glories to Lord Nrsimha, Sri Nrsimha, All Glories to Lord Nrsimhadeva. The Lord of Prahlada, like a honeybee, is always engaged in beholding the lotuslike face of the goddess of fortune.
