Sound is the one thing that cannot be recovered that way. If you want the audio back too, add any other video from the same camera that plays normally, and it comes back with it. The app tells you which case you are in before you start.
HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS
Not every damaged file can be recovered. If the video data itself was overwritten rather than merely left unindexed, nothing can bring it back, and this app tells you so instead of producing a file that opens and plays noise. Anything that could not be read is reported, not guessed at.
This is also why the preview comes before the payment. You see exactly what was recovered, playing on your own screen, before you decide it was worth anything.
