Cuppa for Android is finally here! Tired of leaving your tea too long, to become bitter and cold, or drinking it too soon and not appreciating its full potential? Then this utility is for you!

To make the app so quick and easy that you'll actually use it, we have built it with simplicity in mind. Just open the app and tap the button for the type of tea you're brewing. That's it. No need to navigate through complicated menus to find a particular tea, or fiddle with settings... unless you want to customize brew times or add your own favorite teas.

Once you tap, Cuppa will begin timing the brew and you'll see a teabag appear in the cup and gradually darken as the tea steeps. A countdown timer shows the steep time remaining. You can have up to two separate teas brewing at once, each with its own countdown timer. When the tea is done Cuppa will let you know with a notification -- depending on your device settings, this may be accompanied by a sound and/or vibration.

I don't often take the time to review apps, but this is such a simple solution that works well and has some really thoughtful customization options. I noticed a previous negative review from another Samsung user, and also wanted to note that on my s24 the app and the notifications work great with no issues. I tested both the quick timer and the regular tea timers and both notifications came through just fine.

Notifications don't actually work (Samsung S23 Ultra): once the timer ends, it won't do anything if the screen is off, despite having all notification permissions activated. UPDATE: Thanks for today's update, and the tip. Tried as instructed. but it still doesn't work even after the new update. UPDATE: I now also saw it doesn't work even when the app is running in background, with screen om, whilst I'm using another app. Please solve 🙏🏼

It does exactly what it says and it's free and ad-free. It's the first time in quite a while that I've used an app that has those three attributes.
