This App has been developed in line with the notification Plastic Waste Management (Amendment), 2021, banning selected Single Use Plastic (SUP) items, since July 1, 2022. It will help the local bodies (Urban Local Bodies, Rural Local Bodies, Nagar Palika, Town Committees, etc), the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) and Pollution Control Committees (PCCs) in carrying out field inspections pertaining to enforcement of ban.
The data entered by the field officers will be accessible to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the SPCBs/ PCCs to monitor compliance. The app will also be used to update data of entities, as well as for redressal of complaints against any entity.
