The app was created for learning navigation and solving problems based on the Polish School of Navigation.
Learning - This is not a navigation book, so this mode only provides brief information related to marine navigation. It includes calculation examples and graphics explaining working with a map and in tidal waters: measuring distances, plotting a vessel's position, drawing courses and bearings (two simultaneous, two non-simultaneous), calculating horizontal angles (sextant), vertical angles (sextant), drawing courses in tidal waters, working on the tidal curve, and calculating tides in connected ports.
Tasks - A collection of navigation tasks: setting points and navigating from point to point, simultaneous bearings, non-simultaneous bearings, distance and bearing, distance (horizontal angle) and bearing, navigating in tidal waters, calculating required water levels, and calculations for connected ports. In total:
- 11 tasks with declination calculations
- 28 tasks for the A4 map
- 28 tasks for the A3 map
- 18 tasks for tidal water calculations
- the entire application contains 85 tasks, or less than 3 tasks per day, for a monthly subscription.
Free tasks - a collection of several navigation tasks.
The premium version gives you access to the learning tab and all navigation tasks.
The basic version gives you access to all navigation tasks.
Additionally, the application comes with materials available on the website that must be downloaded and printed: an A4 map, an A3 map, tide curves, attached ports, and a printout for drawing the difference for attached ports.
Without a subscription, you get access to several free navigation tasks.
