About this app
NavShare sends a destination from one phone straight to the driver's navigation: Waze on their phone, or their TomTom device. Nobody has to pull over, type an address or hand a phone around.
Made for motorcycle riders and their pillions, and just as handy in the car, or when someone at home needs you to pick something up on the way.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Both of you install NavShare. Whoever is riding or driving chooses Driver. The other person chooses Passenger.
2. Connect once. One of you enters the other's nickname and PIN (shown on their screen) and you both accept. Either of you can start. Save the connection as a favourite and next time it's a single tap.
3. The passenger finds a place in Google Maps, a website, a message or any app with a Share button, taps Share and picks NavShare. A few seconds later it's on the driver's navigation.
TWO-UP ON A MOTORBIKE
The rider chooses Driver, the pillion chooses Passenger, and you connect. The pillion picks the rider's navigation: Waze or TomTom.
On the move, the pillion finds the next stop, taps Share, then "Send to driver's TomTom". Seconds later the new destination is on the rider's TomTom. The rider doesn't touch anything and just keeps riding.
Using Waze? Same thing: tap "Send to driver" and it opens in the rider's Waze.
RIDING SOLO
Choose Driver, find an address in any app and tap Share. "Open in my Waze" or "Sync to my TomTom" puts it on your navigation in one tap. No copying and pasting addresses.
FROM ANYWHERE
You don't have to be together. As long as both phones have internet, distance doesn't matter.
Someone at home asks you to collect something on the way? They send the address and it arrives on your navigation just as if they were sitting behind you. No stopping, no typing.
IN THE CAR
The passenger connects to the driver in the same way and picks Waze. Fancy a quick detour to a shop? The passenger sends it and it appears in the driver's Waze. No fiddling with the driver's phone on the move. Several passengers can be connected to the same driver.
No links flying around in chats. Straight to the point: the driver's navigation.
