NearFi is a geo-messaging or location based communication tool. NearFi allows you to send a message to people near you in your vicinity, neighborhood and city. Get last minute real time information, help or alerts in a location. You can think of NearFi as a location based Reddit, Twitter, Quora and Clubhouse.

While WiFi is for online information, NearFi is for reaching out to people near you for real time last minute information

NearFi allows you to communicate with people near you, within 100 meters to people across your city. Just as in real life where we meet new people and make new connections in our everyday lives, NearFi not only makes this easier but extends our reach and opens up new possibilities

NearFi facilitates communication between people in a location around a common topic of interest or for discussing issues in a location or knowing more about your neighborhood and city

NearFi also facilitates communication between people belonging to the same tribes, people who share deep rooted connections based on their place of origin, cultures, languages, education etc., where people religiously follow their common interests and beliefs and help each other

NearFi comes to our rescue in numerous situations right from getting help from nearby people in emergencies to borrowing a charger or a book, or finding lost items like car keys, pets, or knowing more about neighborhood places and experiences

NearFi is for our everday real life situations. Keep it handy to get help and help others. Make new connections and friends with real people in your neighborhood and city, or while you are travelling or on a vacation

Users can create a post asking for information in a location or for getting help in finding lost keys, borrowing a charger etc., and also in case of emergencies like medical emergencies, accidents etc., where people nearby can rush to the person in need of help

NearFi is designed to simulate real life interactions, while simultaneously protecting peoples privacy. Below are a few things which will help you while using the app and address any concerns you might have
1. We encourage you to use real names to gain trust and create a sense of belonging in your location or neighborhood
2. We request you to not share any personal information while creating a post. You can share your location or address only in case of emergencies where people nearby can locate you and help you
3. To protect your privacy, NearFi does not reveal your whereabouts, presence or location to other app users
4. NearFi only uses your current location to facilitate interaction with others in a location
5. NearFi does not store your location history
6. NearFi does not share your information with anyone including third party agencies or services

Ratings and reviews

I like the concept, and the minimal ui of the app. Unfortunately it is only useful when there's a lot of people using them around you and I see very little activity in my locality. I still keep it around just in case I move to a new place where there are more users.

A lot of bugs, and no option to send the feedback directly to devs as send feedback button does not work. Notifications arrive but when you click on them you do not see new posts just old ones/ or things just keep loading. Direct message function rarely works and it is very hard to use the app. Not a great UI. Minimal but non-functional. Needs a lot of improvement. Surely, other devs may take this concept and execute it better then nearfi peeps.

It's actually a great App but need few cosmetic changes and need to add few features like 1) Giving an option to DM to a person in comments 2) option to change the font size. 3) need to add some colour in it as it's too bland right now 4) need to fix the bug of Dark mode as once I close and reopen the app the dark mode turns off 5) and lastly need to increase the area rage of atleast one city But I can find a call and video call option faded out at the top right WHY?
