About this app

This application includes features specifically for NEC Platforms' Aterm routers.

This integrated app allows you to perform initial setup and maintenance of NEC's Aterm series Wi-Fi routers and repeaters from your smartphone or tablet.

▼Visualize and operate your home network (Home Network Link function)
By registering your Aterm router in this application, you can view information about the Aterm router and connected devices (such as PCs).
You can also restart the Aterm router, update its firmware, and change its wireless channel.

▼Guidance on resolving poor signal conditions (Home Network Link function)
The app displays areas with poor wireless performance and provides solutions.

▼Various Aterm settings can be configured from your smartphone or tablet (Aterm Setup Assist function)
You can configure and manage your Aterm router while connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
The app searches for Aterm routers on your network and displays links to their respective function pages.

*To use this function, your device and the Aterm router must be connected to the same network.

▼Visualizing Wi-Fi Signal Strength/Communication Status (Heatmap Function)
You can visualize Wi-Fi signal strength and communication status using the heatmap function.
This function can also be used with routers from other manufacturers.
*Signal strength and communication status cannot be measured simultaneously.
*To use the Wi-Fi communication status visualization function, two smartphones with this application (ver3.0.X or higher) installed are required.
The first smartphone is used as the speed measurement server, and the second smartphone is used as the speed measurement client to measure the communication speed via the Wi-Fi access point (this is a communication measurement between devices within the LAN, and is not a measurement result of internet speed. Communication speed is affected by the performance of the smartphone and the Wi-Fi standard connected.)
*To use this function, the device you are using and the Aterm must be connected to the same network.

▼Push Notifications of Aterm Announcements (Push Notification Function)
When there are announcements from Aterm, you will receive a push notification in this application.

▼Initial Setup Support (Initial Setup Wizard Function)
Routers compatible with the Initial Setup Wizard function can perform the initial setup up to connecting to the internet.

For router problems, select from multiple options to isolate the issue.
By selecting options, solutions and workarounds will be presented.

*Network diagram display is not available when using Aterm WX3600HP as the main unit.

・During initial setup, your smartphone must be connected to the same network as the target Aterm.
・When creating a new account, the system will send an email containing a verification code.

* Occasionally, users have reported being unable to log in to this app if they register group names, device names, or sub-device names using characters other than alphanumeric characters. We recommend registering using alphanumeric characters.
