About this app

If you have questions, problems, feedback, please send me an email.

Rainy Days shows you weather radar doppler observations from multiple sources on a fully interactive map. You can zoom in, pan and search for locations.

Rainy Days uses multiple sources of data, not one map for the whole world. This gives you the most recent data for your location. Therefore, Rainy Days works best when zooming in to your local area.

Rainy Days uses real doppler observations and only falls back to satellite sourced data for areas without any doppler radars present.

Predict the weather with Rainy Days: see how storms are moving to see if they are heading for you.

Coverage: Europe, Scandinavia, USA incl Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Africa, Australia

Note: shows rain (radar reflectivity), not clouds!

If something is not working on your device, please send me an email, adding a comment doesn't give me enough information to fix any bugs!

Been using your app for years across multiple devices, love it. However your last update broke something, the app crashes instantly. Note 8, android 9, no mods. App fixed, ty; adjusted review to reflect customer service and app functionality. Keep up the good work!

It's likely that this is due to an outage of Google Maps. The update (3.1.5) tries to correct this, can you try clearing the app data or reinstalling? If that doesn't work, please get in touch through email. Thanks!

Coming back to this app after a couple years because Storm radar is gone. I've always liked the simplicity of this app and the very fast loading, but it needs some color options on the radar images. It would also be nice to have a winter mode, as I believe it won't show snow.

I've been using Rainy Days since about 2009 or 2010 and it's still installed on my phones in 2021. By far one of my favorite apps. It simply does what it needs to do: provide fast radar. Nothing more, nothing less. There are plenty more apps out there with more features such as Windy, but if you just want to quickly check for storms, this is my go-to. My only wish is that Rainy Days would provide an ad-supported web app that does the same thing. Sure, there are plenty of radar websites out there that work just fine, but I still like Rainy Days the best.

Thanks Adam, that's great to hear! Regarding a web app...🤔 interesting idea, I'll consider it!

What's new

This version adds a fix for recovering from the Google Maps outage that could prevent the app from working even after the outage was fixed.
