Turn receipts, notes, forms, IDs and other paper documents into clear, organized PDF files from your Android device.
FreeScan combines guided document capture, multipage PDF creation and offline English text recognition in a simple local-first workflow. The FreeScan name refers to flexible, free-form page selection: adjust the detected document area and choose the part of the image you want to keep.
SCAN DOCUMENTS
Capture a document with guided edge detection or select an image from your gallery. Review the detected page area, correct the framing and continue scanning to create a multipage document.
REVIEW BEFORE SAVING
Preview captured pages and drag them into the order you need before creating the PDF. Add more pages to a document when required.
OFFLINE ENGLISH OCR
Choose offline English text recognition when saving a scan. Recognized text is stored with the document so you can find scans by their contents without uploading the document to an external OCR service.
ORGANIZE LOCALLY
Rename documents, mark important files as favorites, search your library and move unwanted items to Trash. Trashed documents can be restored before automatic removal after 30 days.
EXPORT, SHARE AND PRINT
Create a PDF on your device, share it through compatible apps installed on your phone, or send it to an available Android printing service.
LOCAL-FIRST DOCUMENT HANDLING
Scans, recognized text and exported files remain on your device unless you choose to share, print or save them elsewhere. No account is required.

The current release does not display ads. A future version may include clearly identified ads to support ongoing development. If ads are introduced, the app's Google Play ads declaration, Data safety information and privacy disclosures will be updated before that version is released.
