NestCache is a practical household inventory, recipe, and shopping companion that helps you keep track of the things around your home, where they're stored, what you can make, and what you need to buy next.

**Organize your household**

Keep useful details about your items in one place, including quantities, rooms, categories, storage locations, prices, photos, tags, and more. Powerful search and filtering help you find what you're looking for when you need it.

**Add and update items quickly**

Scan barcodes to add or remove items, use Quick Scan for individual products, or use Bulk Scan when you're putting away several things at once. NestCache also supports package and case barcodes for items you commonly buy in larger quantities.

Prefer not to type? Voice Add can help create items from spoken input.

**Manage recipes and ingredients**

Create and organize your own recipes or explore the built-in starter recipe collection. Keep ingredient quantities, servings, and cooking instructions together in one convenient place.

NestCache can match recipe ingredients with items in My Items, helping you see what you already have and what may be missing. You can also link ingredients to specific inventory items for more reliable matching.

Use the Have/Missing information to help plan meals and identify ingredients you may need to purchase.

**Build useful shopping lists**

Create separate named lists for different trips, stores, projects, or however you prefer to organize your shopping. Track quantities, check off items as you shop, and see estimated costs using saved prices.

NestCache can also help move checked purchases back into My Items so your household quantities stay up to date.

**More ways to capture what you need**

Use receipt scanning to help extract information from receipts, or scan a written list and review the recognized items before adding them to Shopping. Recognition results remain editable so you're in control before anything is committed.

**Find things your way**

Search across your items using names and other useful details, combine search terms, use exact phrases and exclusions, and narrow things down with filters for categories, tags, rooms, and more.

**Helpful repurchase suggestions**

NestCache can use purchase history stored with your local data to identify items that may be due for repurchase. Suggestions can be reviewed, postponed, or disabled for individual items.

**Your household data stays primarily on your device**

NestCache is designed as a local-first app and does not require a NestCache account or sign-in. Your inventory, recipes, shopping, and related household information are generally stored on your device. Optional product and price lookup features use third-party information services when those features are used.

**Backup and transfer on your terms**

Import and export your NestCache information when you choose, making it easier to maintain a backup or transfer your information.
