About this app

NestEye Monitor is the child side of the NestEye parental control platform. Install it on your child's Android device, enroll it once from your parent dashboard, and get a complete, real time view of how that device is being used without constant arguments over "just five more minutes."

This app is intended for parents to install on their own minor child's device, with the child's knowledge. While NestEye Monitor is active, a persistent notification is shown on the child's device so it is always clear that monitoring is in effect. NestEye is not designed to monitor any other adult, including a spouse, partner, or employee.

WHAT YOU CAN DO FROM THE PARENT DASHBOARD

App and website control. Block individual apps instantly or on a schedule, pick a whole bedtime block that blocks every app, or filter specific websites and more. Your child cannot open the blocked app or site while the rule is active.

Screen time and bedtime. Lock the device for 15 minutes, an hour, or a full school day. When the lockdown timer expires, the device unlocks itself automatically. Your child can send a short message asking for an earlier unlock with a reason, and you approve or deny it with one tap from the dashboard or the push notification.

Location and safe zones. See where the device is right now on a live map, review the last few days of location history, and draw safe zones around home, school, or grandparents. You get an instant alert if the device leaves a safe zone.

Panic SOS. When your child holds down the SOS button in the child app, you get a high priority push notification, an email, and the child's current GPS coordinates so you can act fast. SOS works even when the subscription has lapsed.

App usage and web history. See which apps your child spent the most time in, how many times they were opened, and every website they visited. Every browser and every app counts.

Notifications. Capture notifications from messaging and social apps so you can spot early signs of trouble without reading private messages.

Reports and audit log. Download a PDF activity report for any date range, or receive one by email daily, weekly, or monthly. A dedicated audit log records every rule change, alert, and invite so you always have a paper trail.

Family sharing. Invite your partner or a co parent so more than one adult can manage the account. Every action is recorded with the name of the person who did it.

HOW MONITORING WORKS

NestEye Monitor uses Android's Accessibility Service to deliver its core parental control features. Specifically, the Accessibility Service is used to detect which app is in the foreground so blocked apps can be closed immediately (app activity); read browser address bars to record visited URLs and enforce website block lists across all browsers (web browsing history); read on-screen text from the foreground app to detect blocked websites and enforce parental rules (other user-generated content), while sensitive fields such as password inputs are not captured; keep the lock screen active when a screen-time limit is in effect so the child cannot bypass it; capture screenshots on demand when a parent requests one from the dashboard (photos); and prevent the child from uninstalling the app through device Settings without parental approval.

The Accessibility Service is used solely for these parental monitoring and control purposes. Data collected through it is sent only to the parent's NestEye dashboard. It is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising.
