CutNest is a fully offline Android planner for rectangular sheet cutting. Define stock sheets and required parts, compare deterministic placement strategies, account for saw kerf, review waste, and export a clear technical layout as PNG — all without an account, ads, or internet access.
KEY FEATURES
• Create and manage cutting projects with material, sheet size, and kerf
• Add rectangular parts with name, width, height, and quantity
• Optional 90° part rotation for denser packing
• Four deterministic nesting strategies with duplicate-result removal
• Automatic multi-sheet layouts when one sheet is not enough
• Waste percentage, used area, and unplaced-part warnings
• Interactive zoomable technical canvas with pinch and pan
• Export the selected sheet layout as a high-resolution PNG
• Versioned JSON backup with preview, merge or replace, and conflict counts
• Search, sort, favorites, archive, duplicate, and undo delete
• Light, dark, and optional dynamic color themes

WHY CUTNEST
CutNest keeps every project on the device. There is no INTERNET permission, no login, no analytics, and no tracking SDK. Files are read or written only after you choose them in Android’s system picker.
ACCURACY NOTE
The optimizer is deterministic and heuristic. It compares several guillotine-style placements and does not guarantee a mathematical global optimum. Grain direction, sheet defects, edge banding, and machine-specific constraints are not modeled.
Perfect for woodworkers, fabricators, hobbyists, and anyone who needs a practical rectangular nesting plan before cutting.
Plan rectangular sheet cuts locally with kerf, waste metrics, and PNG export.
