IME88 is a vocabulary app whose Review mode creates a self-reducing study session: as you correctly answer cards in levels 0–3 and push them up to level 4, they automatically exit the current filtered session, so the number of cards you still need to address visibly decreases.

This shrinking pool effect makes Review mode sessions feel actively productive in a way that fixed-length study sessions don't. Each correct answer literally reduces the remaining workload, creating a clear and motivating path toward clearing the review queue.

Learners using Review mode in IME88 can often feel the session "tightening" toward its end, the same handful of cards reappearing because they're the ones still holding out at levels 0–2 even as the easier level-3 cards have been promoted and removed from the session.

This natural concentration on the truly difficult cards at the tail of a Review session is one of its most valuable properties: it ensures that the hardest words in your deck receive the most repeated attention without you having to manually identify and isolate them.

The self-reducing quality of Review mode is also a built-in reward mechanism: clearing all cards from the filtered session means your entire deck has moved to level 4 or above, a significant milestone in IME88's learning progression.
