Ratings and reviews

Paid subscription, error when attempting to login, contacted customer support and the only thing they could tell me was that I needed to connect to my home router.... for this app to work on my Android device. I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription and will look for a new brand of router to buy. Customer of 25 years walking out the door ✌️ update: added one star back. The customer support was the primary reason for the low review, the tool itself is great but service needs training.

cost too much to do too little. I payed for the netgear armor when it was discounted at around $25, even then I think it was still a waste of money for this app. it can preform scans but doesn't show you what ended up being scanned or if any threats have been detected. I had to weed out actual malicious files that NetGear Armour bypassed (even after 40) scans. it doesn't help that the hidden permissions for the Netgear armor app allow the installation of ads and Spyware. Don't waste your money!

Armor does a good job offering consumer protection, and it pairs well with a supported Netgear router. There are many toggle switches in the app which layer additional security, but can be annoying if you're like me and pick and choose your own preferences. For example, the app recently started notifying me about adding an additional VPN service. If you don't install the addition service, for whatever reason, the app will continue to advertise to you via the notifications panel.
