Good app, close to being great As a priest, this is super helpful but still needs some tweaking. I love my physical breviary, but carrying it around with all the running each day is... Ugh... The recent updates are fantastic! Thank you! However, as I spend a lot of time driving, it's the text-to-speech option that was best with other apps to get my office prayed. This app's text-to-speech is brutal... there's no logic, just read everything on the page (from all the invitatory psalms for both matins and lauds to who translated the hymns).
Fixed the bugs This app had improved greatly over the past year. I couldn't find any bugs or clunky features. The only possible improvement I can think of would be clearly bordered buttons, as it is sometimes difficult to get the app to follow instructions by tapping icons.
Thank you iBreviary for listening! The changes are very much appreciated and this is now my regular breviary. I use the app off line, and download a week at a time so can't just download the day when needed. It has only failed a couple of times so I keep the Divine office app available when needed.
Barely usable. Developer does not care. I am fortunate to have saved the apk version from before the updates which ruined it. So now I can install it as an app from external sources on my various android devices. I had updated it, sent crash reports to the developer which were all of them ignored. The app remained in its ruined form and that is that. The developer does not care about the reports from almost all users who appreciate and use the app. Never seen a similar aproach to any developer. Really strange attitude!
The app is really nice BUT for the annoying zoom option which uselessly occupies a quite big portion of the screen. Make it a setting among all the others, so that those who want bigger texts can have them just changing a parameter once for all, without having the constant option to do so impairing part of the screen: how often do you think one wants to change the zoom?
Some issues with recent update I have used this app for years, and it is definitely my favorite of the available options. There are still a couple of minor issues with the newest update (particularly a strange tendency to open on the downloads page rather than the homepage), but all of the serious issues have been resolved (no more frequent crashing, pages maintain their position when the screen times out, it no longer needs to re-download all data whenever the app is opened - so it can be used offline again). I am particularly grateful that it provides the prayers for optional memorials, unlike most similar apps.
Thanks again for your feedback, we've improved the app with some other bugfixes.
Is it possible that after installing this release, the data downloaded will be wiped. We changed something behind the scene to improve stability. Sorry For the inconvenience.
For android lollipop (Android 5) users: to avoid crashes, try reinstall "Android WebView" from Google Play Store. No other Android versions are affected. This is a know bug generated by Android itself.
Thanks for the support.
