NetScan turns your phone into a complete network toolkit — device discovery, port scanning, Wi-Fi analysis and a real security audit. Free, no account, no ads, and it works entirely offline.

Scan your network in seconds and see every connected device. NetScan identifies the manufacturer from a bundled database of 39,000 hardware prefixes, then works out what each device actually is — router, phone, tablet, computer, printer, camera, TV, speaker, game console, NAS, smart-home gadget or IoT sensor — each with its own icon. Name devices you recognise and get alerted when an unknown one joins.

Get a 0–100 rating for your network, with a clear letter grade and a prioritised list of what to fix. NetScan checks your Wi-Fi encryption, looks for evil-twin access points and ARP spoofing, scans for genuinely risky open ports — Telnet, wireless debugging, FTP, Remote Desktop, VNC, exposed databases, unsecured cameras — and flags devices it doesn't recognise. Every finding comes with a plain-English explanation and exactly how to fix it. Share your score as an image.

Most network scanners want an account. NetScan doesn't. There's no sign-up, no cloud sync and no tracking. The manufacturer database ships inside the app, so device lookups never touch the internet. Shared score images deliberately leave out device names and IP addresses.

NetScan requires location permission because Android requires it to read Wi-Fi details. Your location is never collected, stored or shared — it is used only to scan the network you're connected to.

What’s new

You can now export a scan as a packet log and open it in Wireshark, tcpdump or tshark. The download button on the scan screen offers CSV or pcapng.

One thing worth being clear about: Android won't let any app capture real traffic without root, so this file is rebuilt from the probes NetScan sent and the replies it got — not a recording of your network. The file says so itself, right inside it. Addresses, ports and response times are real.
