What's worked for me, was to use a USB type b printer cable, with the type B plugged into the back of the robot, and the USB end, plugged into one of the little adapters that comes with a galaxy s9, that has a USB type C end, plugged into my Galaxy S9. The app connected to the robot almost as soon as you were finished tapping the play button. Like, instantly. Boom! Done. I bought a 16 ft. cable $8. That's a nice length to be able to place your device anywhere on your side comfortably.

Pros: app is ok to use after spending some time getting used to it. It talks to robot and controls spins and shots if you know what to do after trying out different settings. Good for footwork training and FH, BH, flick drills. Learning how to react to spins. Cons: bluetooth connection out of sync when you walk away for long hours. Have to close app sometimes turn off robot to reconnect. Robot cannot do mixed brands of Balls it shoots double. Saving & sharing drills is a challenge. Need change.

The balls don't go to the right place (eg. Backhand set balls go to forehand side of the table). Also, the balls don't come out consistently (eg. Sometimes they come out super fast and sometimes they come out super slow in the same exercise). BTW: The robot also can't do underspin balls they just fly super high which hit the wall.
