Glide car parks are "pay on exit" using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). Allows easy payment at more than fifty car parks across the UK, from outdoor activities and shopping centres to train stations and hospitals. After you have set up your Glide account, pay for your visit shortly before you leave:
- Tap 'Active Parking' in the app
- Swipe downwards to refresh the app and see your current parking session
- Tap the parking session and then 'Pay Now' to receive an email confirming payment
After payment you are allowed some time to leave the car park, so you can pay as you get to your vehicle then drive away with no worries about parking fees. If you stay longer after paying you can refresh the app by swiping downwards on ‘Active Parking’ to see any new fees and pay.
A Glide account is needed to receive email receipts and hold card details for easy payment. Your payment card is added when you set up your account or on first payment, then the same details can be used the next time you leave a Glide car park.

For regular users you can set up payment to be debited automatically when you exit the car park. Most car parks on Glide allow this and you will be sent a notification when you enter the car park informing you the feature is available. An email receipt is sent after payment.
For regular users of a car park you can save money by buying a season pass for a period of time. This allows parking at any time the car park is open but does not guarantee a space. See the car parks with season passes available in the app.
