I actually think it's a 5 star game but I'm at 2 for the moment because I paid money for the championship mode and it doesn't save some settings when I create my own championship. for example, I create a championship and have it set to long tracks. but if I turn the game off and come back, it's set to short tracks. I LOVED this game up until then. and honestly, I think it's a big deal. any plans to address this? has anyone else said this to you before? would love to change my review to 5 stars

what a game! it leans into the aesthetic of itself, but at no point surrenders quality. the circuits are shockingly accurate, the computer racers fight you in a fairly accurate way and there's enough challenge to make you work for it without being able to just send it into every corner from about three miles back. the boost is a little broken I'd say and does make most races easier, but you can simply not use it for a greater challenge.

Love the game, but I have one issue. When calibrated for a traditional xbox controller, my triggers (gas and brake) don't register, which makes the game effectively softlocked. Either a fix or remappable buttons would do. It would be an easy 5 star and a 12 dollar purchase, but I can't justify it until then. The Pc version has manual gearing. Hopefully, that'll come soon to this version, too. Otherwise, I've been having a blast! Thank you.

- Sprint Cup fix. For those players that couldn't complete the Sprint Cup, races now start in the pits so you can minimise your car's starting fuel load.
