This game could be so much more. The basic game is great. Feels like old school D&D but that's it. It doesn't go further. I just finished a quest and I have no idea what happened to the treasure I found. And if I start a new quest I have none of the gold or items I bought. If the point of the game is random mini one-shot adventures then get job, but if you could add a little more substance ( keep what worked for, items and gold; instead of picking an adventure and random hero's, pick your group and go on multiple quests with that same group. Experience! Let me lvl up with my group and keep adventuring. U guess have the foundation for a great game. Keep up the good work.
As someone that has been wanting to play Heroquest without forking over a hundred plus dollars for a used copy, this is really helping me get my fix. So much fun! Plenty of characters and the difficulty is fair. Really enjoyed the first one in the series. This has improved graphics and movement system, imo.
Great game, but terrible parameters. Each new quest is a complete restart, so no satisfying growth, just a different pointless grind. Why put weapon and aemor slots when xhancea are they will never get filled? Other than that it plays fine.
If you are a fan of the old table top games such as Heroquest and Advanced Heroquest you should like this digital version. All the regular races and classes are here. Only issue is that the camera is a bit fiddly but that could just be me. If you let your imagination take over the camera isn't important.
One of the best looking of the series, sticks to the same gameplay as normal which means fans of the series will know exactly what they are getting but it also suffers from feeling samey. Same map types, same enemy types, same character types etc. I just wish new ideas had been tried to keep it fresh.
Moving through dice rolls. Remove it to get rid of accidental moves. Standing in an open door and not seeing what is inside until you move in is silly. Do fog of war correctly. A mob who is discovered and then tracks past the hero who found him and chases after a hero several time back is dumb. No logical reason that a monster would know to track right to second hero.
