About this app

Please note this version of Framlepase Pro will no longer be updated, though the last release will be available to download. Allow us to explain why:

Due to Android 8+ security features, camera in sleep mode can no longer be accessed thus making the sleep mode cause issues. But is still available for all those for whom it worked/works fine in older devices.

However because anyone who has paid for this app deserve to have latest Framelapse, we have given all the features as in this pro version (plus more), also in the standard version now (except of course the sleep feature which had to be removed because of OS restrictions, but there is an alternative there).

Good news is, the standard version has a new smart screen overlay mode which is very close to turning your screen off for most modern OLED displays. Just start recording, and press the bottom right button which appears.

So for Pro users, try out both versions and work with whichever suits you best. But we'll recommend you use the standard version in newer devices as it is updated and you don't lose any of the pro features anyway.

Hope you understand our concern, and our resolve to serve you best!

When it works, it's great. But too often, it has a fatal bug: it doesn't stop after your designated duration - it just keeps on "recording", and if you try to stop it with the shutter button, it erases everything. So you may waste hours thinking that you're recording a time lapse when in fact you have nothing. Nexus 6 running Android 7.1.1, but an app like this should be backwards-compatible ... if not, can you please make it so?

I used this for a stop motion project where I had the camera takes a photo every few seconds while I worked my model in between shots. When the actual photo is snapped, the software allows for a 'shutter' sound in order to time your changes between shots. HOWEVER, shutter sound is NOT in sync with actual time of shot. So pretty much useless for that kind of application. Crashes a lot! Doesn't instill a lot of confidence the results will come out and be any good. Pretty disappointed.

Takes high quality time-lapse photography. The photo controls and use of device flash is really appreciated. I would have rated 5, but recording time is inaccurate. I can understand developer's need to use frame interval and video frame playback rate to compute recording time, however, actual playback rate is not close to the 24, 25 and 30 FPS offered. I haven't had the time yet to experimentally determine the actual rate, which will require a coefficient to adjust the displayed record time. I hope a custom adjustment can be made available. Then I'd rate a "5"!
