About this app

You type in something you keep forgetting. Later, when you are not thinking about it, Rursus asks you what it was.

Rursus means "again" in Latin, and that is the whole idea. No lessons, no course, no streak to protect. Just the things you personally chose, coming back until they stick.

ONE TAP TO ANSWER
The question arrives as a notification showing one side of a card. Tap it and the app opens on that question with three options. Get it wrong and it tells you the answer, then asks again sooner.

ANY TWO SIDES
A card is a front and a back, and they hold whatever you put on them. A word and its meaning. A date. A formula. A face and a name. The app does not care what you are learning.

IT LEARNS WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW
Answer right and the gap before you see that card again grows. Get it wrong and the gap collapses, so the cards you struggle with are the ones you see most. The exact moment is always shuffled, so you can never quite feel it coming.

IT WILL NOT PESTER YOU
Quiet hours, a limit on questions per day, and one switch that stops everything at once. All three are yours to set, and the defaults are already polite.

QUIET BY DESIGN
- Light and dark themes, or follow the system
- Nothing you type ever leaves your device: no account, no sign-up, no sync
- Works offline. The adverts are the only thing that needs a connection
- One optional purchase removes the adverts. It is a one-time purchase, never a subscription

Rursus needs permission to post notifications, because the notification is the app. Allowing exact alarms is optional and only decides whether a question arrives on time or a little late.
Flashcards that ambush you as a notification, at a time you cannot predict.
