This variation of chess allows you to move several chess pieces at once. To help control the speed of the game, chess pieces that complete a move enter a "cooldown" period before they can move again. Chess pieces move at a moderate speed allowing players to dodge incoming attacks. If, for example, a Rook is moving to capture your King, you can attempt to dodge by moving the King out of the way. This dynamic can lead to new game strategies.

Play against real players online or against the computer in three difficulty settings: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced.

📜 Kung fu chess game rules:
• All chess pieces are eligible to be captured at any time, including those in "cooldown".
• If two chess pieces are moving to capture each other, the one that moved first wins.
• Moving into the path of an opponent's moving chess piece and blocking its motion will end up with your chess piece captured and opponent completing their move as normal.
• For all else, normal chess rules apply. This includes castling and Pawn promotions to Queens.

This is a good effort toward the bout of nostalgia I'm sure a lot of the ~2000-2005 KFC community experienced. While it definitely has some kinks to be worked out (evading a knight is quite limited), it's a good attempt. With some fixes, it could be better, but also lacking greatly with active players. I normally find I'm the only one on, and the CPU is not intuitive at all, putting its king in direct danger constantly.

Nice concept! Different experience and skills. Not ideal for beginners. Trains your brain to think fast and your eyes to see everything. Forces you to focus on important areas of the board. No time to ponder carefully. Just make your best move right now. And just hope for the best. 👍⚔️🛡😲

Nice start, but lots of bugs of how collides are resolved. I used to be a top player in the original game, and I spot so many inconsistencies, that are also hard to articulate.

Thank you for the feedback! Can you kindly share what bugs/inconsistencies you see compared to the original game? I too played the original one and tried to mimic it as best I could. Note that a poor connection on mobile may affect server's perception of who moved first compared to the wired connections back in the day. Thanks!

What's new

- Online multiplayer, UI refresh, and dark theme!
- Menu music
